Went in about DEERs paper work, very new to all of this, and when I asked where to go one of the women giggles at me and they told me it was closed. I was then told it would be open Monday from 7:30-4 but I got there at 1:30. No reason for why they were closed or when they'd be back.

Beyond ? slow...and seems like people services are not their thing. Two staff members were fixing a printer while one person was at the front and 6 people were waiting I came back two hours after ans still had to wait for a day pass. Again another place that could use some more seasoned help on base.

Getting a visitor's pass on this bass takes an act of congress to do. The visitor's center is closed on weekends which is annoying since this is when people would most likely try to get on. Disabled vets are only allowed one day passes for anyone they sign on. If you try to sign anyone on during the weekend it takes forever, is congested, unorganized, and there's no sense of urgency to get people processed in a timely manner. It comes off as if Dyess is trying to have goofy unorthodox methods in place on purpose as a deterrent for people to not come on the base. Also, when their system that signs people on is down there's apparently no backup plan, they can't even administer hand written passes like they've done in the past. If you plan on having family visit this place it's a bad idea since getting a visitor's pass is such a hassle.

Our son a USAF service member for 20+ years helped us get passes for the base. The security staff were very professional while still being friendly inside and at the gate. We feel very safe while on base with these fine service personnel on duty.

The customer service could use some work. I understand it's not the best job in the world.
