Bus departure location in New York is convenient but a bit congested. Reasonable scheduled departure times from New York, comfortable and clean seating, and seat belts are available if you desire, which I did not feel I needed them because the ride was relatively smooth. The driver was respectful and informative about the bus route; he stopped off in Maryland, followed by Washington, DC. In addition, the travel cost is reasonable.

This was not a “luxury” bus. As indicated by the attached photos, the seats were very small and uncomfortable, as my knees were slammed up against the back of the seat in front of me the entire ride. The bus itself was loud and rickety. All of the cup holders were broken, or not able to handle the weight of a small water bottle – again, evidenced by the photos. The seats and floors were filthy, covered in food crumbs and trash. At one point during the trip a small child next to us peed on the floor and seat.

This bus took more than 7 hours to arrive, when 4.5 to 5 hours was advertised. There was no unusual traffic that accounted for this two-hour delay.

The bus was NOT a direct, non-stop route. It stopped four times. Once to pick up other passengers in Maryland, which was not clearly advertised. The driver then took a detour to pick up “paperwork” off route, delaying us at least 30 minutes. On the third stop, the bus driver pulled off the highway, in to an empty parking lot and used the bathroom on the bus for 15 minutes. The fourth stop occurred outside NYC, around 8pm, already an hour past the estimated arrival time, where the driver went behind the bus for approximately 10 minutes to do who knows what. Was this to deliver the “paperwork,” or maybe the drugs he picked up at the previous stop? Something very disturbing was going on, and no explanation was given.

Knowing that we were already long behind schedule the bus driver endangered all of our lives by driving extremely fast along the NJ Turnpike, and managed at one point to drive through the plastic posts dividing a highway median to cross into another set of lanes. This was extremely dangerous and highly illegal.

I was on the bus, evidenced by the photos. Your comments are invalid as you were not on the bus. It may not represent what you want it to, but I represented and reflected reality. You may want to do a better job of quality assurance, because the facts remain that the bus was filthy, the driver stopped multiple times (prove me wrong, show the gps report), the bus was extremely late (again, prove me wrong) and there was nothing "luxury" about your bus. Its a dirty, discarded sidewalk sofa on wheels.

Very poor service on a trip from nyc to Bethesda. The bus was late and trash was there when we boarded. The driver was very slow in getting started. We are arriving over one hour behind schedule on a quiet day with light traffic. Just terrible trip. No water was given to the passengers.

Clean, reliable bus service from Bethesda to NYC. The employees are very nice and helpful even if you have a lot of stuff. The clientele is polite and respectful. If needed, I appreciate that the driver will ask people to quiet down if they’re having loud conversations. We take the Elite bus for 15 dollars extra and it is certainly worth it! You get tons of legroom and each row only has 3 seats arranged as 1, aisle, 2. The bathroom is clean and usable, seriously! I attempted a legroom photo… it’s comfy. Also fits a baby car seat well.

We had a smooth ride up to New York on Friday & smooth one back on Monday. It was a different bus on Monday though & seats weren't quite as comfortable. Also the driver didn't drop us off at the same location as we left from. He dropped us off on Wisconsin Ave & all the passengers rides were on/near Willow Lane.

It doesn't work.

Driver: "well maybe it's the weather and it will fix when we get moving. I don't want to mess with it"

The ride is uneventful but for a $50 ticket and 1 of the advertised amenities not working, I will eat the cost difference and use the train next time.

The Tripper Bus was a great experience to venture into New York City and leave the driving to someone else! The bus driver was pleasant and even greeted us with an ice cold water for the trip. The seats on the bus were comfortable and the drop-off and pickup locations were convenient and easy to get to. You'll pay less for your bus trip than you will likely pay for parking in New York City for a few days.
